Astrophysical datasets on different scales provide convincing evidence for the existence of Dark Matter (DM), whose fundamental nature is however yet to be uncovered. Cosmology is in a unique position to explore the physics of the DM, by testing its properties directly and independently of any portals connecting it to the Standard Model. In this talk I will discuss how the distribution of galaxies at large scales can probe medium/long range self-interactions in the dark sector, and present the strongest bounds to date on such forces, which can be at most one hundred times weaker than gravity.
